10-day Daily Sauna and Cold Plunge Challenge

I recently did a 10-day daily sauna and cold plunge challenge at Awaken for Wellness here in Hudson, WI and here is what I noticed:
Increased tolerance to both the sauna heat and the cold plunge, I was able to increase my time in both during each successive session.
Going back and forth between the sauna and cold plunge might be my new favorite thing ever! Talk about a dopamine hit! I never thought hopping in and out of 40-degree water could feel so good! Don’t forget — end with the plunge!
Benefits that I have noticed a drastic change in over the last 10 days: stress reduction and relaxation, improved energy level, focus, productivity and awareness during the day and FANTASTIC sleep at night, improved mood, improved digestion, and possibly my favorite improvement is in my skin’s softness, complexion, and tone. My skin just looks amazing!
(Side note: As an acupuncturist, I am always diagnosing patients by how their skin looks and educating patients on how your skin tells the story of their internal health, so I have no doubt in my mind that my benefits surpass what I have listed above because the skin doesn’t lie!)
Pro-tip: I also opted for a one-hour float before my sauna and cold plunge on one of the days I had a bit more time and I have to say you’re doing it wrong if you don’t include a float here and there. I’m not sure I have ever been that relaxed before!
